My friend's Demo Reel



Demo reel of my good friend Vina Vo. She works in the television news industry. These are some examples of sequences that serve as introductions to continuing news stories and often have to be completed, from concept to execution, with very tight deadlines. It's also a good example of what is expected in the profession if one chooses to focus on digital design and animation.

That Flash Site I Was Trying to Find


The original website for the 1983 documentary Style Wars about graffiti and New York hip hop culture. The site has since been restyled. Luckily Code and Theory, the firm that designed the original Flash site, has archived it in video form.

Cool Mix of Live + Stop Motion



Video from Minneapolis rapper P.O.S. incorporates live action along with stop motion animation. Combined with cup stacking, toy cars and additive text and cartoon graphics for an entertaining conceptual music video.

Print Still Matters

Some musical artists still view the process of releasing an album as a comprehensive creative art project and not simply a way to capitalize on easy-to-use digital files. This release from one of my favorite hip-hop collectives out of Minneapolis demonstrates the extent to which print and packaging can still be a creative, interactive experience.
