My friend's Demo Reel
Demo reel of my good friend Vina Vo. She works in the television news industry. These are some examples of sequences that serve as introductions to continuing news stories and often have to be completed, from concept to execution, with very tight deadlines. It's also a good example of what is expected in the profession if one chooses to focus on digital design and animation.

That Flash Site I Was Trying to Find
The original website for the 1983 documentary Style Wars about graffiti and New York hip hop culture. The site has since been restyled. Luckily Code and Theory, the firm that designed the original Flash site, has archived it in video form.

Print Still Matters
Unboxing Bad Time Zoo from Doomtree Records on Vimeo.
Some musical artists still view the process of releasing an album as a comprehensive creative art project and not simply a way to capitalize on easy-to-use digital files. This release from one of my favorite hip-hop collectives out of Minneapolis demonstrates the extent to which print and packaging can still be a creative, interactive experience.
Letterpress from Naomie Ross on Vimeo.
Excellent use of digital technology to highlight an analog technology, and all focused on typography! I found this of particular interest since I am taking a letter press studio this semester.

The Girl Effect
Many of you have probably seen this by now, but it's a good example of kinetic typography and of communicating a simple and strong message using exclusively text.
Here is their website
